about

It was summer 2004 and some guy whose name I've forgotten asked us to be his guinea pigs at his new studio in Old St London. He struggled with the new equipment, we struggled to stand up, but it was a fun day. We did four songs - Broken Bones (never used), Hostage (we'd already done this as a single so don't know why we were playing it that day), Incest City (ended up being done on Life in Dirt LP a year later, but I prefer this version) and Numb Balls (which was also never used).

After that are a selection of very early demos from 2001

Easy (never used) can't remember where this was done
No Reason - a cover of the garage tune by the Alarm Clocks - we got from a cover version by the Lyres
Fly Through the Night (Never Used)
Sick (Never Used)
Fat Lizard (Never Used)

Then there are two tracks we recorded for the Life in Dirt album but only got as far as the tracking session. Both recorded Feb 2005 at Jacob's Studios in Surrey.
